About Dipali
Hello, I am Dipali. I am a Kathak dancer and teacher. My journey in Kathak began in 2006 in Mumbai, where I developed a deep foundation in this classical dance form. After relocating to Singapore, I resumed my training with renewed dedication, by attending regular classes at Kalapravaha plus workshops by renowned Kathak artists visiting Singapore & completed my “Kathak Visharad”
With over 15 years of training and performance experience, I have presented Kathak across India and Singapore.
I have been blessed to be able to train under guidance of Guru’s from the different gharanas of Kathak. My approach blends strong technique with expressive storytelling.
A defining milestone in my journey came in December 2024, when I was selected through audition to perform a solo Kathak presentation in the presence of renowned guru Pt. Rajendra Gangani ji in Pune. This led to advanced regular training “Gyaan Vishesh” from January 2025 under his guidance, further refining my technique and deepening my artistic expression.
Beyond the stage, I am passionate about education and have conducted Kathak workshops in pre-schools across Singapore, introducing young learners to rhythm, movement, and cultural appreciation in a joyful and structured way.
As a teacher, I am committed to nurturing grace, confidence and discipline in my students. My classes provide a supportive and fun environment where learners of all ages can grow, connect with tradition, and develop a genuine love for Kathak.
