About Kashif

I have over ten years of experience of tutoring experience as well as school, college and university teaching. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? Yes, I have a valid CRB. - Where and with whom did you train? I gained a teaching qualification from University of Greenwich. - Do you belong to any professional organisations? No, not currently. - Tell me about some of your current students. I have students ranging from KS4 to A' Level.

About the lesson

Maths is a tough subject but I believe I have the ability to make it not only a productive but also an enjoyable experience. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Maths: A' Level, GCSE, KS3 and university graduate level. I also teach A' Level Economics and A' Level Physics. - Tell me about your qualifications. 7 O' levels and 2 A' Levels BSc Economics MSc. Business and Economic Forecasting Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education - How much do you charge? I charge £20 per hour plus travelling expenses. - Where do you teach? I teach at my home and could travel up to ten miles. I live in Redhill, Surrey. Nearby towns include Dorking, Horley, Reigate, Coulsdon, Purley, Crawley and Merstham. - When are you available? I am available any day of the week. - Which ages and levels do you teach? Age 13 upwards. - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? KS3 up to KS5 - Describe your arrangements for online tutoring. I do not do online tutoring. - Do you have a personal message for students? I place emphasis, unlike I suspect many teachers and tutors, on helping students truly understand the subject material, rather than tutoring them to simply to pass exams. My aim is to impart transferable skills which can then be used beyond the field of studying, whether it be in the workplace or students' personal lives. Encouragement is given to students to ask any questions that are bothering them. Rather than spoon feed them information, I interact with them by asking them to justify answers to follow up questions I ask, and hence lead them to the solution as a result of their efforts. My teaching style is such that I am able to empathise with students with respect to any learning and developmental issues they may need support with. To achieve this goal, special consideration is given to identifying particular learning weaknesses and providing multiple approaches to learning which best suit the need of the student. This in turn makes the primary learning objective of understanding and advancement achievable as well as an enjoyable and productive experience. A piece of advice: keep a record of errors you make so that you minimise repeating them.

Tutor Kashif Khan is one of the best tutors my son has ever had. If there were 20 stars, I would give him all 20. My son previously achieved a grade 3 in GCSE Maths. As he is going to university next year, he needed to improve to a grade 5 or 6. I arranged GCSE Maths resit tuition with Kashif Khan for November 2025.

My son had two weeks (14 days) of tuition, with two hours each day. He is now expecting a grade 6 in GCSE Maths.

Mr Kashif Khan is a very good tutor — very professional and very polite. I would like to thank Kashif Khan and highly recommend him.

Kashif was introduced by a tutoring platform. We selcted Kashif due to being local and availability. Kashif taught Maths to our son to GCSE level. Highest marks achieved in the exam. This is due to the patience and style of tutoring required to unlock our sons skills and provide confidence. Kashif (Mr Noon) was always prompt, polite and well organised and highly recommend.

Kashif tutored my daughther throughout the 2nd year of her A levels, as she was struggling with A level maths as she was getting about E grade at that time. Kashif was always punctual for the tutoring sessions and would give suffient notice regarding any absences or reshceduling. My daughther enjoyed and benefited from the sessions as Kashif is an extremely patient and meticulous tutor all sessions were planned towards a revison schedule and he took ample time to explain topics . My daughter's grade improved from an E grade towards a C grade, hence shows the quality of the tutoring he provides. I would higly recommend him.
