About Julia

- What kind of experience do you have? 34 years in Education Management, teacher training and language coaching in language schools in Paris, Toulouse, Bordeaux and Oxford. I have taught English to professionals and students of all nationalities. I have taught business, technical, academic, and general English and French for Business and GCSE & A Level French in-company and privately since January 2014 when I began working for myself. I specialised for five years in coaching French university- level students to get into the Elite French business and Engineering schools. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? I have an up to date DBS. - Where and with whom did you train? My university degree in French and German is from Bristol Polytechnic. I did the CELTA at Gloscat, Cheltenham before going out to France to live. I spent 10 years in Paris and trained further at the British Council, where I passed the DELTA (Diploma to teach English as a Foreign Language to Adults). I moved down to Toulouse where I was based for a little over three years before returning to the UK in 2001. More recently, I trained with Tony Nutley at the UKCPD, Swindon, where I attained my Life and Business Coaching Diploma and NLP Master Practitioner status. - Do you belong to any professional organisations? I belong to the ANLP I am a member of the UKCPD. I am a member of the AC. - Tell me about some of your current students. I am currently working with Japanese people previously working for Honda in Swindon and coaching doctors and nurses at Swindon GW hospital to achieve success in the Academic IELTS test. I am coaching business people who are learning Business/technical English and French as well as students of English as a foreign language aiming to take the Cambridge FCE & CAE. IELTS preparation, both the academic and general modules, is an ongoing part of my tutoring for both native and non-native students, as is GCSE, AS and A level French. I am also teaching Business French in-company. I offer support and coaching to trainee teachers of English as a foreign language undertaking the CELTA or DELTA. I am a qualified NLP Master practitioner and Life Coach specialising in career coaching and relationship coaching.

I teach English and French for business, exam preparation and travel. I teach AS and A Level French, IELTS and Cambridge exams. I also coach nurses and doctors to success in the new OET test (Occupational English Test) I also offer Life and Business coaching - Tell me about your qualifications. I have an honours degree in Modern Languages from Bristol Polytechnic I have DELTA (Diploma for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language to Adults) from British Council in Paris I have NLP Practitioner status from UKCPD Swindon I have a business and Life Coaching certificate from UKCPD Swindon - How much do you charge? I charge £25/h for general/exam focused language tutoring, £30/h for Business French or English or presentation skills training. Life Coaching is £50 for a session of 60- 90 minutes. - Where do you teach? I teach and coach from my home office in Stratton. - When are you available? I am available Monday to Saturday. - Which ages and levels do you teach? I teach all ages from 12 years to adult - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? I prepare students to take IELTS, CAE, CPE, FCE, TOEIC, TOEFL French exams including DILF, DELF, DALF, French GCSE, A Level I coach trainee teachers embarking on the CELTA or DELTA.
