About Cole
Adult learners and conservatory hopefuls form the core of my studio practice. Soft pedal resonance carries through the room as we dissect the mechanics of a Chopin phrase. Eighteen years of performance and teaching in Los Angeles define my perspective.
I have mentored students across 13 years of work. Watching a student finally master a complex musical shift is the most rewarding part of the job.

Focusing on the subtle mechanics of rubato, we settle into the nuanced weight of the keys. Being a Juilliard graduate means my 13 years of professional experience translate directly into how I structure your technical growth.
Weekly practice modules assigned with every class ensure your progress stays consistent between our meetings. We will explore ear training and dynamics while refining your expression through specific contemporary repertoire.
Memorisation techniques and sight playing form the baseline for our 8 distinct pillars of musical development. Expect to work through scales and arpeggios until the phrasing feels entirely natural. My goal is to ensure the music simply happens.
