About Natalie

I am a first-generation college student majoring in Criminal Justice and Journalism, which has shaped my understanding of diverse educational backgrounds. With past experience as a writing tutor, I prioritize creating a judgment-free environment for all students. My passion for writing began in high school when I joined the yearbook team, igniting my love for storytelling and communication. I aim to empower students by fostering confidence and encouraging their unique voices in their writing journey. I believe writing and reading is such a powerful skill to have and I can’t wait to share my knowledge in it!

About the lesson

As a tutor, I use a student-centered approach that emphasizes active engagement and critical thinking. My lessons typically begin with assessing the student's current understanding, followed by tailored instruction that includes interactive discussions and practical exercises.

A typical lesson plan includes an introduction to key concepts, guided practice on essay structure and argument development, and constructive feedback on existing work.

What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to each student's unique learning style, ensuring personalized support that fosters confidence and improvement. I cater to students across all educational levels, from elementary to pre-college, focusing on enhancing their essay writing skills and overall academic performance.
