About Lauren
I am a professional working musician with more than 10 years of teaching experience and a Master of Music in jazz studies from New York University, where I also served as adjunct faculty teaching jazz voice to non-majors, tutoring music theory and improvisation, and coaching ensembles. I have built my own teaching studio that serves mostly professional and serious hobbyist adult musicians in NYC.

I am a professional jazz vocalist who is driven by music theory and harmony as a source of inspiration. I am also an experienced educator with a Master of Music in jazz studies with 10+ years experience teaching jazz voice, jazz theory, history, and improvisation to serious students of all ages. I work well with students who are currently attending conservatory programs, students looking to audition for such programs, students who are looking to study on their own, and working musicians looking for refreshers and inspiration.
