About Katia
I'm an Italian jazz guitarist with more than 10 years of experience. I live in Paris since 2016, where I regularly perform in jazz clubs in the city and elsewhere. I specialize in the bebop style but with a preference towards guitarists like Jim Hall, Jimmy Raney, Barney Kessell. I am also a classical guitar and musical training teacher (CRD de Sarcelles). I graduated from the Naples conservatory and continued my musical studies in Paris, at the 9th arrondissement conservatory.

Technique, improvisation, interpretation, timing. My main field is the harmony and the arrangement of tunes (standards, bossa, etc.) in solo guitar. I spent a lot of time studying the methods of pianists like Barry Harris, Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, and my goal is to transpose their chords and progressions on the guitar. So I offer serious work on harmony and chord movements, as well as the development of an original and fluid phrasing.
