About Connor
With 10+ years of tutoring experience, I teach Piano to school students, college students, and working professionals. I am dedicated to helping learners develop their musical skills through structured lessons, practical training, and positive encouragement.
I believe that learning piano should be personalized. I first understand each student's current level, musical interests, goals, learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement. I then create lessons that match their needs and pace.
My teaching includes piano fundamentals, finger coordination, hand technique, scales, chords, rhythm, music theory, note reading, sight-reading, ear training, song learning, improvisation, and performance preparation.
I use demonstrations, exercises, and real musical examples to make lessons easy to follow. I encourage students to apply their knowledge through practical playing so they can develop confidence and better musical understanding.
My teaching philosophy is based on communication, patience, flexibility, accountability, and motivation. I encourage students to ask questions and share their difficulties. I provide supportive feedback and guide them toward practical solutions.
I also teach learners how to practice with purpose. I help them set goals, manage time, divide difficult music into smaller tasks, and build consistent practice habits.
A notable achievement in my teaching career is gaining 9 years of experience with students from different age groups and educational backgrounds. This has helped me develop strong communication, adaptability, and mentoring skills.

My piano teaching approach focuses on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I believe a strong musical foundation helps students become better and more confident piano players.
I begin by understanding the student's current knowledge, musical background, interests, and goals. I then create lessons that gradually develop technical and musical skills.
Students learn posture, hand position, finger coordination, note reading, rhythm, scales, chords, sight-reading, ear training, and musical expression. Beginners receive clear foundational training, while experienced students can work on more advanced techniques and performance skills.
I use demonstrations, written notes, listening activities, repetition, and practical piano exercises. I explain music theory through keyboard examples so students can understand and apply what they learn.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson speed and difficulty according to progress. Collaboration gives students the opportunity to participate in song selection, goal setting, practice planning, and progress reviews.
I maintain a positive environment where mistakes are accepted as part of learning. I provide supportive feedback and encourage students to practice with patience.
Along with piano, I can teach music theory, keyboard skills, rhythm, chords, sight-reading, ear training, basic composition, and music appreciation. My goal is to build strong musical foundations while making lessons enjoyable and practical.
