About Patrizia
Building a career in documentary filmmaking requires a diverse set of skills that encompass visual arts, journalistic research and writing. Therefore I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree, and have also studied Journalism, Documentary Filmmaking, and Scriptwriting in Italy, the UK and the US. My latest documentaries were produced by Europe's leading Culture broadcaster and are being distributed worldwide.

A typical lesson lasts 90 minutes and includes my introduction, examples from award-winning documentaries, and practical exercises. I studied visual arts, ranging from painting to photography and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree . Then, I took up freelance journalism and ultimately specialised in documentary filmmaking and scriptwriting. I have been writing documentaries for 26 years for some of the major European broadcasters and have conducted courses for several newsrooms.
