About Nicole
My career has encompassed c.30 years working as a performer, teacher, and mentor. As an experienced practitioner who prioritises a commitment to up-to-date, relevant, and progressive knowledge transfer, I have a demonstrable track record in supporting students at any age and stage of development - from beginners, to professionals who require additional advice, guidance, and expert assistance. Following my undergraduate degree/Masters awards from conservatoires in Australia and Ireland, I received my Doctor of Music award from the Royal College of Music (London) in 2014. This training has instilled a deep and directed understanding of the contemporary arts/humanities practitioner: how they may build a range of competitive skills and techniques in support of curating an industry-ready portfolio of practice. Whether your needs are practice-based (performance, inter-medial collaboration etc), or academic (review/article/essay/thesis preparation) I have the necessary experience and qualifications to ensure that you extend and develop your skillset, and achieve success.

I offer piano/keyboard lessons that focus on your unique requirements and objectives. As a committed educator and performer, with over 30 years experience in supporting pianists of any age or stage of development, I hold the necessary skills and insights to support you in your musical journey. I am committed to exploring a broad range of repertoire, ensuring your training (and repertoire) remains current, diverse, and progressive. This includes repertoire from both classical and popular/jazz collections. Through this broad training you will gain invaluable skills in securing techniques and training that will enable you to remain agile and adaptable across multiple musical genres. Lessons are typically c.30 mins for beginners, and c.1 hour for students who have at least 2 years of piano training. I particularly welcome enquiries from advanced performers who are looking for additional support in recital/recording/exam planning, programming, and preparation. I believe in the beauty and endless possibilities inherent in piano training. I look forward to working with you.
