"Learning languages happened because music demanded it during my time at Cambridge. Singing meant grappling with the precise sounds of French and Spanish literature for my Master of Music at the Royal College of Music. This academic path combined with 6 years of experience guides how I coach intermediate and advanced learners today.
Having taught 200 students, I find that cultural context provides the best bridge for language acquisition. My dual background as a musician and linguist means I hear the rhythm of a language quite differently. The choral scholar roots keep me grounded in traditional structures while exploring modern usage.
I enjoy helping hobbyists find their voice in a new tongue. Sometimes I still practise my sight reading during quiet evenings at home."
