About Sharon
I have a university degree in BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design and a Diploma in Professional Practice. I have over 9 years of professional practice working mostly on commercial projects both internationally and nationally, predominantly in London working on multimillion pound fit-out schemes for Tenants and Landlords. I have also done unique projects including designing and building an obstacle course for the likes of Bear Grylls to a restaurant, bar and lounge at the O2. The start of my career led to being recognised within the industry as '30 Under 30' of up and coming designers in the architecture and design sector. My career has led to other interests which has driven me into creating a company's Women's Network in construction and becoming Diversity Champion. Not only are these my interests, I am also passionate about neurodiversity, mental health and educating young people as well as those from disadvantaged backgrounds. I like to apply these areas where possible in my projects. Currently studying with the The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) in a Certificate and Diploma in Leadership and Management. The CMI is the UK's only chartered professional body offering the highly Chartered Manager (CMgr) status. My career has provided me experience leading teams and managing people internally and externally. CSCS card holder - Construction Skill Certificate Scheme I find teaching and mentoring hugely rewarding. Just seeing someone progress and achieve, knowing I have supported them really fulfils me. This inner fulfilment has given me past experience teaching children in schools and villages abroad and mentoring young people in secondary schools in the UK. Over the last couple of years I have conducted charity work which involves going to school career fairs or presenting my job role virtually to primary and secondary schools in the UK and internationally, inspiring them about the world of architecture, design and construction. In my spare time, I enjoy playing football and boxing as well as hanging out with friends and family.
I currently work for a global Architectural Design and Engineering firm.

I approach each student differently, dependent on their interests, needs and requirements. Teaching: • AutoCAD - including tips and tricks • Space Planning • SketchUp Pro - 3D modelling including tips and tricks • Adobe InDesign & Photoshop • CV Design & portfolio review • Design Proposals / Project work Career Mentoring and earning potential: Including career development and guidance, working under pressure, fast-pace sectors and working towards higher income whilst doing what you love! Experienced mentoring junior and mid-weight designers, university students, interns or placement year students in software, the creative process including conceptual idea generation to proposal documents and presentations. I can also help and advise on design CV's and portfolio's as well as talk about work experience or career progression. Lessons are available for evenings and weekends.
