About Alyse
I have a bachelor's degree in Cinema and a background in Education. I have been an Volunteer Instructional Aide with San Juan Unified School District for 5 years. I tutor English to kindergarten and first grade students. I also have college tutoring experience at Sierra College. I am currently volunteering at Folsom Public Library as a K-8 tutor, helping students with their studies in varied subjects including English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I start graduate school in Fall 2018 studying Library Science with a focus of youth education and program development.

I ask questions about what students need help with; review their assignments with them and make sure they understand what the teacher is asking of them; I am calm, patient, friendly, and dedicated to help students who would like help with English.

My hourly rate is $20 per hour. This includes webcam tutoring and local tutoring. Traveling costs: $25/hour if your home is 10 to 15 miles away.
