About Matthew

I've studied Mathematics through GCSE level all the way through to Degree Level where I graduated at the University of Edinburgh in 2009.

I have 12 years of online teaching experience but I have particularly started tutoring full time in the past 3 months.

I've always enjoyed teaching Maths in my spare time since I graduated at Edinburgh. It gives me great satisfaction to see people succeed in this subject and me knowing that I made a difference.

About the lesson

I've always enjoyed helping students with their studies especially Mathematics as it's a subject I enjoy teaching.

I graduated in Mathematics at The University of Edinburgh back in 2009 with over 12 years of online teaching experience.

Over the past 12 years I have been teaching Mathematics as a private tutor online and I've been teaching on Preply full time for the past 3 months.

I'm a very patient teacher as I understand the difficulties that very often arise. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than watching my students progress forward. I like to think that I can be at the students level and we can both progress forward together with various hints and ways of getting the student to progress to the next level.

I also specialize in the University of Cambridge entrance papers such as the Sixth Term Examination Paper. This is a field I enjoy keeping up to date with which is something I would be glad to potentially help the student with.

I also have a YouTube channel where I'm currently teaching Mathematics. This is an online teaching resource which I constantly enjoy adding content to. If there's any particular problems my subscribers or my students want a solution to I am always willing post a video giving a detailed solution and break down of the topic.

I would like to add that I'm only interesting in teaching students short to long term. If your intention is to just have the one lesson (which I completely understand with last minute exams etc. ), it would be appreciated if you didn't book any trial lessons with me. This keeps my reputation score good and allows me to plan around other students!

My prices are very reasonable. I charge £20 per hour to teach online via skype or zoom. If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.
