About Sithembiso
My name is Sithembiso Mlambo. I live in Ulundi but am currently in QwaQwa. I have a Bachelor of Education in the intermediate Phase specializing in life skills and social sciences and a Bachelor of Education Honors with a specialization in Curriculum Studies. I have 3-year experience in tutoring EDUB1613&1623, GPED1623, and EDUB2714&2724 and a year as an academic facilitator. I am a hard worker, passionate, consistent, and disciplined.

At the start of each meeting, I ask the student how they're feeling, like if they're tired or excited about something going on in their life. This helps me better prepare for any distractions or a slow lesson, and I think this also lets them know that I care about their well-being and not just that they're at the lesson. Then, I ask how if they had any wins since we last met. I find that starting with this positivity helps both of us focus on the good, which often makes for a more productive session.
I then go over the agenda for the session so that they know what to expect. I also typically give them a brief quiz to go over the previous sessions' topics and see what they remember and or where they may need additional work. After the review, I try to connect how those previous topics relate to what we're going over in the current session. I go through the lesson, which typically involves the student reading material aloud and discussing the prompts with me. Finally, I leave at least five minutes at the end of the session for any additional questions about the material.
