About Mays
I am an experienced violin instructor with 12 years of tutoring experience teaching school students, college learners, and working professionals. Teaching music has always been a passion for me, and I enjoy helping students discover the joy and discipline that come with learning an instrument.
My teaching philosophy focuses on support, consistency, and positive encouragement. I understand that every learner progresses differently, so I adapt my lessons according to each student's needs and aspirations. I believe that learning should be enjoyable while maintaining steady progress.
Throughout my teaching career, I have guided many students in strengthening their technical skills and becoming more confident performers. One of my proudest achievements has been helping students develop strong foundations that continue to benefit them in their musical journey.
I strive to provide engaging and meaningful lessons that inspire creativity and growth.

My approach to teaching is student-focused and built on compassion, communication, and support. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical abilities without fear of making mistakes.
During violin lessons, I teach proper technique, rhythm, note reading, and tone development. I break down complex topics into smaller and easier steps so students can learn comfortably and progress steadily.
I maintain open communication with students and provide constructive feedback to help them recognize both their strengths and areas for improvement. I believe encouragement and patience are essential for long-term success.
Apart from violin, I can teach related subjects including music theory, ear training, and sight reading. These subjects provide students with a complete understanding of music and improve their performance skills.
My goal is to help students build confidence and enjoy every stage of their musical journey.
