About Casey

I am a passionate Saxophone tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, and I have successfully trained around 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. Teaching music is not just my profession but my passion. I believe that every student has unique musical potential, and my goal is to help them discover and develop it with confidence.

My teaching approach focuses on clear communication and step-by-step learning. I adapt my lessons according to each student’s learning style, whether they learn better through listening, reading notation, or practical demonstration. I make sure my students understand music theory along with practical playing techniques such as breath control, tone production, finger positioning, articulation, and improvisation.

I also include real-life examples from performances and recordings to help students understand how music works in real situations. I encourage students to explore different genres like jazz, classical, blues, and contemporary music. This helps them become versatile and confident musicians.

One of my unique skills is creating a comfortable and motivating learning environment where students feel free to ask questions and express themselves. I also focus on stage confidence and performance preparation. My aim is not only to teach the saxophone but to build disciplined, creative, and expressive musicians.

About the lesson

My Saxophone teaching approach is designed to help students become confident and disciplined musicians. I focus on step-by-step learning, starting with breathing techniques, embouchure control, posture, finger movement, tone clarity, articulation, and timing. I ensure students understand each concept clearly before moving forward.

Creativity plays a key role in my lessons. Students are encouraged to experiment with sound, learn music from different styles, and try guided improvisation. I act as a mentor by supporting students emotionally and musically, helping them overcome challenges and stay motivated throughout their learning journey.

Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how music works, including rhythm patterns, scale structures, and melody formation. Accountability is maintained through regular practice plans, progress reviews, and honest feedback. In addition to Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Rhythm Training, and Ear Development.
