About Arden

I hold a degree in Architectural Design and have spent twelve years mentoring students in the creative and technical aspects of architecture. My passion for the field stems from a fascination with how spaces shape experience and connect people to their environment. Teaching architecture allows me to guide learners in developing their own design voice while mastering structural principles. I approach instruction with flexibility, personalisation, and reflection, adapting lessons to the strengths and ambitions of each student. I emphasise creativity, problem-solving, and disciplined execution, ensuring learners gain confidence and independence. Beyond teaching, I continue to engage in architectural projects, study emerging design trends, and participate in workshops. About the lesson

Architecture is the synthesis of art, science, and human experience, and my lessons focus on developing creativity, technical skill, and conceptual understanding. I guide students to see structures not just as physical forms, but as purposeful spaces that influence emotion, functionality, and sustainability. Lessons are designed to balance artistic exploration with technical precision, enabling learners to translate ideas into coherent designs. I create a collaborative environment that encourages experimentation, observation, and critical thinking, fostering the ability to approach architectural challenges with both imagination and analytical reasoning. At the beginner level, students explore basic design principles, drafting techniques, and spatial awareness. Intermediate learners engage with structural understanding, design composition, and digital modelling. Advanced students develop complex architectural projects, integrating sustainability, environmental considerations, and multi-functional planning. I use visual exercises, modelling tasks, and real-world case studies to deepen understanding and strengthen practical skills. Through architecture, students cultivate creativity, analytical reasoning, and resilience. They learn that every design choice carries impact, requiring thought, responsibility, and balance. Architecture becomes a platform for intellectual growth, aesthetic development, and practical problem-solving, equipping students with skills to conceptualise, communicate, and realise innovative spatial solutions.
