About Baetty
I hold a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Central Lancashire and a Master’s in TESOL from the University of Melbourne. My teaching career spans multiple continents, including roles as an English as a Foreign Language and English for Specific Purposes since 2004 in Indonesia, English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor at four higher education institutions in Nottingham, and as a Bahasa Indonesia for Foreigners (BIPA) Teacher at the Indonesian Embassy in London. These experiences have equipped me with the ability to design and deliver study skills support tailored to diverse learner needs, from Foundation to Master's level.

I have consistently delivered high-quality English for Academic Purposes (EAP) instruction both online and face-to-face, integrating digital tools such as Moodle, Teams, and corpus-based resources to enhance academic writing, critical thinking, and research skills. My role also includes pastoral care, tutorial consultations, and assessment responsibilities. I teach not only from theories but also my own postgraduate research journey.
For Indonesian Language class, I utilise technology-mediated and communicative language teaching. I am a CELTA certified teacher which teaching style I can adopt into Indonesian language tutoring.
