About Beckett
I am an experienced piano tutor with over 6 years of teaching students ranging from school learners to college students and working professionals. I am passionate about making piano learning enjoyable, practical, and accessible for everyone.
My teaching approach combines patience, clarity, and personalised learning, ensuring that each student can understand concepts fully and progress steadily. I focus on building strong fundamentals, including finger technique, note reading, rhythm, and hand coordination, before gradually introducing advanced skills and techniques.
Beyond piano, I also teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to help students develop a comprehensive understanding of music. My lessons are engaging and creative, often including songs, practical exercises, and improvisation to inspire musical expression.
I am particularly skilled at breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps, helping students overcome difficulties and remain motivated. My goal is to cultivate confident, disciplined, and passionate musicians who enjoy learning piano and feel empowered to pursue their musical goals.

Creativity is central to my approach. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose, and explore different musical styles, helping them develop a unique musical voice and artistic confidence. Flexibility ensures lessons are tailored to the student’s pace, skill level, and interests, creating an encouraging and productive learning environment.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This holistic methodology strengthens technical mastery, expressive ability, and musical understanding. My aim is to nurture confident, creative, and lifelong musicians who love performing and exploring music.
