About Samhita
As a Bharatanatyam tutor, I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment where students can grow both technically and artistically. Whether you're just beginning your dance journey or looking to refine your skills, I'll tailor each lesson to your experience level and learning style.
My teaching emphasizes strong fundamentals, including posture, adavus, rhythm, expression (abhinaya), and performance quality. I believe that understanding the meaning and tradition behind Bharatanatyam is just as important as mastering the movements, so I incorporate cultural context alongside technique.
I'm patient, well-prepared, and committed to helping every student build confidence and enjoy the learning process. My goal is not only to help students improve as dancers but also to foster an appreciation for this beautiful classical art form.
