- What kind of experience do you have?

I have 18+ years experience tutoring 1-2-1 in Maths across North East London to students of schools such as Woodford County High, Forest School.
I have 17+ years experience full time teaching in UK Secondary Schools at A-Level.

I have also been Head of A-Level Maths for 6+ years and I am a former A Level Maths examiner for Edexcel

About the lesson

I'm a highly qualified maths teacher with over 18 years of teaching experience. I now tutor full time Monday to Friday and I've used my extensive teaching experience to build the confidence of my students regardless of their ability.

I teach Maths up to A Level.

Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Maths) from Brunel Unversity.
BSc Mathematics from University College, London
Grade A in A-level Pure Maths (1986)

- How much do you charge?

GCSE: £35 per hour
A-level: £35 per hour
An additional charge of £10 will be added for lessons that take place at a student's home.

- Where do you teach?

I mainly teach from home and most of my students come from Highams Park, Woodford Green and Chingford. I also provide online tuition to UK and international students.

I teach secondary and sixth form students.
Each weekly lesson will focus on helping students deal with misconceptions and will involve practice questions, examination technique and recent past paper questions specific to your syllabus.
A special emphasis will be placed on helping students develop their problem solving skills, a key requirement for the new syllabus at GCSE and A-Level.

I have a number of online students. I normally use Skype or Zoom as my teaching platform.

- Do you have a personal message for students?

I hear from worried parents of struggling students whose child is finding maths difficult. I also hear from gifted students who are finding their maths lesson unchallenging and dull. In both cases, the best solution is a personal tutor with a tailored study programme. The tutor will ease the mathematical pain of a struggling child and will stretch the gifted one.
