About Barnik

I am Barnik Basu, a Computer Science Engineering student at IIIT Kalyani and also pursuing Data Science and Applications from IIT Madras. I have a strong academic background with 97.52 percentile in JEE 2025.

Alongside academics, I have actively explored software development, AI, and data-driven technologies through hands-on projects and industry-style learning programs. I have experience with programming languages such as C, Java, Python, and have worked with modern development tools including React, Firebase, and cloud deployment platforms.

I have completed multiple certifications and simulations from global organizations, including data analytics, software engineering, and cloud architecture programs. These include industry-style learning experiences from Deloitte, AWS, Electronic Arts, Cisco Networking Academy, NASA Open Science, and other structured technical programs that helped me build practical understanding of real-world applications.

I have also participated in national-level hackathons and technical events, including being a Top 10 finalist at InnovateX (IIIT Kalyani), where I developed an AI-assisted real-world application using modern APIs and full-stack technologies.

Beyond technology, I am a Junior Scholar in Sarod at ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata, where I have been training in Hindustani classical music since childhood. This has helped me develop discipline, patience, and a structured learning mindset.

I believe in teaching with clarity, patience, and practical understanding, especially for students who want to build strong fundamentals in Computer Science, programming, and logical thinking.

I recently went through the JEE journey, so I understand the challenges students face in school studies, programming, and choosing the right academic path.

I focus on simplifying Computer Science and programming concepts by breaking them down into clear, step-by-step explanations. My goal is to help students build strong fundamentals in logic building and problem solving, rather than just memorizing concepts.

I also explore modern AI tools and how they can be used effectively for learning, coding support, and productivity. I try to make students more confident, independent, and comfortable with technology in their daily studies.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on making Computer Science and programming simple, practical, and easy to understand.

I start from the student's current level and gradually build strong fundamentals through clear explanations, real-life examples, guided practice, and regular doubt solving. Rather than focusing only on syntax or memorization, I emphasize logical thinking, problem solving, and understanding how concepts work.

Classes may cover school-level Computer Science topics, C programming, Java programming, programming fundamentals, algorithms, logic building, problem solving, and the effective use of modern AI tools for learning and productivity. I can also help students understand concepts required for major school curricula and examination boards.

A typical session includes concept explanation, examples, coding practice, discussion of doubts, and problem-solving exercises tailored to the student's level and goals.

My classes are suitable for school students who want to strengthen their Computer Science fundamentals, improve programming skills, build confidence in coding, and develop a strong foundation for future studies in technology.
