About Abiya
I am a medical graduate with an IELTS Band 8 score and a strong interest in English communication and teaching. Throughout my academic journey, I have worked in clinical environments where effective communication and confidence in speaking were extremely important.
I want to teach because I understand that many students struggle with spoken English despite knowing grammar or vocabulary. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students can practice speaking without fear and gradually become more fluent and confident.
I especially enjoy helping students improve their communication skills for IELTS, academics, interviews, and everyday conversations through practical one-to-one guidance and consistent speaking practice.

My lessons are focused on improving IELTS speaking skills through personalized one-to-one sessions. I help students build fluency, confidence, pronunciation, vocabulary, and natural conversation skills in a supportive but practical way.
My approach is interactive rather than lecture-based. I encourage students to speak as much as possible during class because speaking improves through active practice, not memorization. I identify individual weaknesses such as hesitation, grammar mistakes, limited vocabulary, or lack of confidence, and then tailor sessions according to each student’s needs.
As an IELTS Band 8 holder, I also teach strategies for handling all three parts of the IELTS Speaking test, including developing answers, improving coherence, and speaking naturally under pressure. My goal is to help students communicate clearly and confidently in real-life English as well as in the IELTS exam.
