About Paulo

My methodology, consists of my own work with the survey of about 5 English Schools that I have worked and with the most frequent difficulties of students of these schools and private students as well. Adding my experience as a teacher for over 10 years (I am 29 years old) and my own experience with my learning at my London school and my life abroad, I was able to better understand what works and what does not. I ended up focusing on a method of its own in which it applies entirely and particularly to each student or group. In it, the classes are divided into stages: Listening; Speaking; Reading; Writing. In this order, I prepare material with topics regarding the student's interest and in parallel with it, the understanding of English grammar is being applied. So we will first look for your needs, and then we will relate them to "learning English".

What makes you need this communication?
Where do you feel the greatest need?
Which step do you most need, or are they all needed equally?

Many people look for a job, others because they will travel abroad, others to understand music or movies. Each case will bring a unique and specific approach to each need. My best English teacher so far was an Englishwoman who sat in class and kept quiet until someone came in with ANY doubt and she would taught that until we all really understood.

There is no reason to use a conventional process and following a book or story that is not interesting to you. We will always be focusing on your interest, and from that, learn what is needed with a beginning, middle and end. English is a tree with only two branches, or two types of verbs (actions). On the one hand, the verb "to be"; on the other, "all other verbs".

You will realize that by understanding these two branches, we will go anywhere with a needs-oriented class in a creative and interactive way. (:

About the lesson

Hi! How do you do? My name is Paulo. I am passionate about English culture and that has been going on since I was a child, when my father approached me to the beautiful songs by The Beatles, and the stories he used to tell about England and its behavior. Much of this intensified my interest in English culture. Having completed my high school studies, along with the short technical course in Design, I went to London, which would be the first experience abroad, and i was only seventeen years old. And it was amazing!

After about a year and a half of English language study in London and the experience itself, I returned to start college in Florianópolis, here in Brazil. Afraid of losing my English fluency, I went to an English school near my house to look for a job as a teacher (i was eighteen years old). I was accepted, and thus began another passion that accompanies me to this day, totaling these 10 years of experience as an English teacher.

In Brazil, for about 6 years, I studied Architecture, where in the middle of the study I did another interchange, this time to Florence, Italy. There, I studied Architecture for another year, and had my second experience abroad.With fluency in English and a quite good "Italiano", I was able to travel around Europe, visiting many places and learning about them. After a year, I returned to Brazil to finish my degree in Architecture. Then, for a brief moment working as an architect, I moved to Tatuí, Brazil. Here, where I currently reside, I am studying music production in a college in order to improve my musical aspects. Also, I am an English Instructor at the only school with native teachers (apart from me). I also teach online and privately, focusing on the needs of each student, with conversations regarding their interests and respecting the pace of learning for each student. "Each case, one case."

I am an eternal lover of art and architecture, music and poetry. Thus, I am also an eternal lover of communication (languages) that governs these arts to be told. Long live the languages! Now, shall we? The Class will start as soon as you want it.
