About Savik
I am Savik Misra. I am 23 years old and I have just completed my honors degree (bcom) at Wits. I have worked at different companies, and learned about communication on different levels. I worked for an international e-company (GAOtek Incorporation) and I have also worked for a local online shopping business. My thesis achieved one of the highest marks at Wits in the honors faculty, and was involved with high-level writing, regarding trust in the world of business.
I’m someone who believes learning should be practical, engaging, and connected to the real world. My background is in business and marketing, and I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into things you can actually use beyond the classroom. I’m curious by nature, I ask a lot of “why,” and I encourage students to think critically, challenge ideas, and see how what they’re learning can shape real careers and real impact.

My lessons are all about learning while having fun, because that's the way I like to learn and find it most efficient. However, my lessons will also inspire students and create a spark in them, by encouraging them to focus on writing about what they may enjoy. This will increase their desire to improve their own writing and English. The research thesis that I wrote at Wits, and received one of the highest marks at Wits for, was only enjoyable because I actually liked what I was researching. Every student has something that they can enjoy when it comes to learning, reading and writing and I am here to guide them.
