About Andrei

Teaching is more than knowing the subject. It’s the delivery.

I’m Andrei, an online tutor with over 10 years of experience and a BA in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from York University. I help homeschool families turn difficult topics into manageable lessons and build a steady learning routine.

I’m patient, clear and willing to change the explanation when something is not clicking. Your child gets space to think, ask questions and practice independently.

I also create Learning Leap worksheets, quizzes and learning activities. These give us additional ways to practice a skill while keeping your family’s curriculum and priorities at the center of the lesson.

About the lesson

You do not need to change your homeschool curriculum to get useful support. I work with the books, materials and goals your family already has, adding structure and targeted practice where it helps.

We can focus on:
• Math foundations, problem solving and course topics
• Reading comprehension, vocabulary and spelling
• Grammar, paragraphs, essays and creative writing
• Planning work, study habits and independent learning
• A topic that needs extra time or a greater challenge

Each session has a clear goal. We review recent work, learn or revisit a skill, practise together and finish with a short independent task. That helps us decide what to revisit and what your child is ready to try next.

For regular lessons, we can build a manageable weekly plan. I give parents a brief update on what we covered and suggest focused practice between sessions. Learning Leap worksheets and quizzes can supplement your existing materials.

Lessons are for Grades 1–12, one-to-one and online, in English or Russian. Weekday morning availability follows Toronto/Eastern Time and can suit families in Canada or other time zones.
