About Nyla

Nyla Welsh holds a degree in Circus Arts from Circadium School of Contemporary Circus, where she majored in hand balancing and partner acrobatics. She has also spent the past year training at Eastern Acrobatics under Jacob Skeffington. Her movement training began at age two with ballet and tap and continued at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. She also attended an arts high school where she majored in theater. Nyla has performed as an aerialist with Funicular Circus, as an acrobat with Give and Take Jugglers, and at festivals including the CIRCa Festival in Auch, France, the Philadelphia Cannonball Festival, and the Philadelphia Hand to Hand Festival. She has been teaching dance, gymnastics, and circus for 5 years. When she’s not standing on her hands—or someone else’s—she enjoys spending time with friends and petting cats.

About the lesson

I have been teaching for 5 years from ages 2 to adult! I like to utilize the first (free!) lesson to get to know you and your goals. What disciplines you are interested in, what you hope to achieve with your training (Fitness, fun, knowledge, chance to perform etc.) As well as learn about any prior training you have in order to build custom lesson plans specifically to help you achieve your goals.
