About Tomass

I have played with many musicians of varied styles for a while now. Yet folk and Americana music has always been at my heart! I have had 10 years of performance experience and for me music is a blessing and a saviour that came into my life, and I respect anybody that chooses its way! :) I like to always get to know and understand the nature of my student and the type of learner they are (Everybody learns in their own unique way.) Along with what their taste is within music and what inspires them and makes them want to play! I will make lessons fun, interesting and relevant by applying entertaining ways to challenge and teach my student in the most suitable ways to their level and experience! It doesn't matter if you like rock n'roll, pop or reggae - I will make it fun for you! :) It is very important for my students to feel their progress, and that is something I strive to do as a tutor. Of course everybody learns in their own time, and I respect that!

About the lesson

- I always adjust to the level of my student and keep lessons relevant to what they want to learn. For beginners I introduce the best ways of holding the instrument, finger placement, getting to know the fretboard, varied strumming styles along with how to keep the rhythm steady. I also teach chords, and chord changes and eventually other techniques that will spice up and improve your ability to play! I do also teach some techniques of fingerstyle blues and folk guitar, rhythm and relevant exercises. - My lessons can vary from 30 minutes to 1 hour. (this can be discussed) - I have an HND Music qualification that specialised in teaching and performing. I have taught for over a year now! - I am most confident in teaching beginner level students. However, may also teach fingerstyle, blues and other rhythmical techniques to more experienced individuals. (I teach students of any age.)
