About Mel
I am a First Class History graduate from the University of London with experience in essay-writing, proof-reading and perfecting essay technique in Humanities subjects. I have proof-read essays at many levels with great results, as well as giving advice on personal statements and essay structure (my strength is Undergraduate essay mark schemes and dissertations).

Essay technique is often simply about learning a few important techniques and patterns. I base my teaching on the learning of specially tailored essay models and plans to suit the individual, thorough explanation and tried-and-tested methods. In a mixture of discussion-based and explainatory sessions, I will design my advice around how you or your child write, and how this can be best improved in line with a given mark scheme. I also proofread within 48 hours, and am experienced in exam and dissertation preparation.
