About Kartik

About me: I have been learning Hindustani Flute, Classical music since the last 7+ years (guru-based learning). I have 2+ year of teaching experience. I'm a lifelong learner myself and love to share my knowledge and the challenges I have faced in a simple way to the students so as to make them grasp things in an easy way.

About the lesson

My teaching is rooted in the guru–shishya tradition, where learning is personal, patient, and progressive. I strongly focus on each and every single student based on their learning pace. Beginner students with no music background have achieved steady progress throughout the journey. I use a step-by-step approach: Basic flute handling & blowing techniques. Alankars for strength and control. Intermediate Flute Techniques(meend, gamak, murkhi, khatka, strokes, tonguing). Introduction to ragas through bandish (compositions) and improvisation. Tunes, songs, bhajans... I respect each student’s pace—you’ll never feel rushed. I offer encouraging, mistake-friendly classes—because real learning happens in trying. I’m a lifelong learner myself, which keeps my teaching fresh and evolving. Most importantly, I focus on connecting—with the student and with the soul of the music.

Group class charges: ₹300/hr (Monthly 4 classes ₹1200)
One to one session: ₹500/hr (Monthly 4 classes ₹2000)
