About Violette
In 1996 I left France to spend 1 year in Canada, 2 years in England and 7 years in Scotland. After 10 years of studying and living in an English-speaking environment I became near-native in English, and in 2010 I obtained the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) which is normally designed for native English people.
At the end of 2007 I went on a trip to India, where I ended up living for over 11 years. Immersed in the heart of India, I learnt Hindustani violin from an Indian classical music master from Benares for 10 years and I completed an Undergraduate Diploma in Hindi language from Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi (Banaras).
Whilst living In India, I taught English to young Indians between 2009 and 2018 and Hindi to foreigners from 2011 to 2018, in Varanasi and Khajuraho.

First of all I assess my students' needs - for example whether or not they want to learn the Devanagari script, their reasons and goals for learning Hindi. I then adapt my teaching methods to their needs, interests and learning methods.
I mainly use books by Rupert Snell and Kavita Kumar and I use my life experience in India to build my own teaching material.
