About Owen
With more than 10 years of experience as a piano tutor, I have taught students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I am dedicated to making piano learning simple and enjoyable.
My teaching style is based on flexibility, communication, and practical learning. I customise lessons according to each student’s needs and pace. I make sure students understand each concept clearly before moving ahead.
I teach piano along with music theory, rhythm training, and ear development. These subjects help students improve their overall musical skills. I also include simple exercises and song-based learning.
My unique skill is breaking down difficult topics into easy steps. I help students improve their technique, confidence, and consistency. I also guide them in effective practice routines.
I aim to create a supportive and motivating environment. My goal is to help students enjoy learning piano and achieve their musical goals.

My teaching methodology is centred on creative, expressive, and individualised learning. I believe piano lessons should go beyond technical practice—they should inspire creativity, personal expression, and confidence. Through effective communication, I understand each student’s goals, learning preferences, and challenges, allowing me to design lessons that are tailored, engaging, and motivating.
Creativity is a core part of my approach. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose, and explore a variety of musical styles, helping them develop a unique musical voice and deepen their connection to music. Flexibility ensures that lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, skill level, and learning style, creating a productive and enjoyable learning environment.
In addition to piano, I teach related subjects such as music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive approach strengthens technical proficiency, musical understanding, and expressive skills. My goal is to help students grow into confident, expressive, and lifelong musicians who enjoy performing and exploring music creatively.
