About Connor
I am a focused and friendly saxophone tutor with over 11 years of experience teaching college students. I believe learning music should be clear, enjoyable, and confidence-building. My teaching style is student-centered, where lessons are adjusted to suit individual goals, skill levels, and learning speed.
I help students develop strong tone quality, breath control, finger technique, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. Along with structured exercises, I introduce improvisation and performance practice so students can apply their skills in real musical situations. I use real-life music examples to make lessons practical and easy to understand.
To support faster progress, I use modern learning tools such as recording feedback, play-along tracks, and step-by-step practice plans. These methods help students hear their improvement and stay motivated. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to strengthen overall musical understanding.
My lessons are calm, supportive, and well-organized. Whether you want to perform confidently at college events or play saxophone for personal enjoyment, I guide you patiently throughout your learning journey.

My approach to teaching Saxophone is student-centered, structured, and creative. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching methods to suit individual needs. I focus on building essential skills such as proper breathing, posture, embouchure control, finger accuracy, tone quality, and timing. These are taught gradually using simple exercises and real musical examples.
Creativity plays a key role in my teaching. I encourage students to explore musical ideas, play familiar tunes, and practice improvisation in a guided manner. As a mentor, I support students emotionally and musically, helping them stay motivated and confident even when learning becomes challenging.
Critical thinking is encouraged by teaching students how to listen carefully, analyze their playing, and correct mistakes independently. Accountability is maintained through regular assignments, practice tracking, and goal setting.
Along with Saxophone lessons, I also teach Music Theory, Rhythm Exercises, Ear Training, and Scale Studies to help students become well-rounded musicians.
