About Elena
I'm Elena, a linguist and language tutor with 2.5 years of teaching experience.
I come from a small town in the north of Russia called Syktyvkar (Сыктывкар), and currently, I live in Berlin.
I studied Linguistics at 4 different universities, in Saint-Petersburg, Joensuu, Groningen, and Potsdam. I majored in Phonetics, learning how we pronounce sounds and intonate in different languages; and Psycho- and Neurolinguistics, focusing on how psychological functions and language are interconnected.
I started my teaching journey when I was at university, and now I work as a full-time language teacher.
My main approach to teaching is creating engaging and motivating experiences for my students, as well as meeting their goals. My classes range from relaxed speaking practice to former exam preparations.
I dedicate my time to creating customized lessons to keep my classes motivating and rewarding!
