About Marc

Hallo! Willkommen!

My name is Marc and I am originally from Barcelona, Spain. I am a first year BSc Economics undergrad at University College London (UCL).

As an Economics Undergraduate, I am highly passionate about carrying out qualitative research projects in economics. I hold the position of Research Correspondent at The Economic Tribune, UCL's official economic magazine ((concealed information) where I am currently researching on Central Bank-Issued digital currencies. Among my hobbies, I would highlight reading gripping books on Economics and History, learning German (I study C1 and have been studying German for over 4 years), swimming, playing tennis and helping people!

With respect to the latter one, I have been tutoring a high school student in Maths, Spanish and English for 4 years and I also helped a 22-year old girl from Honduras to learn Catalan from scratch. Moreover, I have tutored one-in-one classes on English and German to a man aged 35 and a woman aged 43. Back at high school, I also volunteered to help young foreign students with troublesome financial background teaching them Spanish and Catalan.

About the lesson

When it comes to my teaching methodology, I would pinpoint the fact that I like to offer 100% personalised classes aiming at fulfilling the students' needs and, hence, I am open to any suggestions that seek the betterment of the whole learning experience. If you would prefer to focus on a specific weakness (speaking, writing or just revising grammar), I am willing to adapt the classes.

Notwithstanding, deeming my experience in tutoring, I always enjoy to have brief exams or self-assessments prepared by myself with the only purpose to maintain us on board in learning Spanish with the same enthusiasm as at the beginning. I also like to send homework, or extra material on the subject whenever needed.
