About Thomas
I have taught BA and MA students a range of topics at The Courtauld for over 5 years.
I am passionate about helping students to find the best way to express their ideas. Writing is central to my teaching, and I focus on how clear and precise expression can sharpen visual analysis and argument, to achieve excellence. I am able to work on any topic or theory from art history.
I love teaching and working with students on their exciting ideas. I will bring my extensive experience to interactive lessons as we identify together where to get to work.

I have extensive experience working with undergraduates and postgraduates. I can particularly help with dissertations and essay projects. My lessons put emphasis on writing skills. I also have extensive experience tutoring for exams, with my own resources for exam practice. Visual analysis remains a core part of my teaching. I am a specialist in nineteenth century art, but I can teach on any art history topic. I have extensive experience teaching art history theories & methodologies.
