Hi there! My name is Mia and I am a highly experienced, academically rewarding tutor who has been tutoring local students for the past 7+ years. As a person and tutor, I am highly motivated, hardworking and ready to help you achieve your academic potential, as well as build positive life-long work habits in regards to your approach to study and time management. I am a recent graduate from North Sydney Girls High School who has experience tutoring children in years K-9 in most subjects, most notably Math, English and assignment/exam prep and assistance, as well as English, Biology, Economics and History for students in Year 11 and 12. About the lesson

I am a 2024 Graduate of North Sydney Girls High School (a top 5 NSW school) and am passionate about economics and helping students excel in their studies, as I will be studying Commerce Majoring in Economics in 2025. I have 7 years experience in tutoring, and would love to support you (or your child) excel in HSC economics which is a highly complex and multi-faceted subject. My typical lessons are 1 hour in length, with longer lessons available during exam periods and for exam practice. I also provide additional marking services, to ensure that my students correctly express their understanding in short answer responses and essay responses with regards to the question and respective syllabus dot points. I have an expert understanding of the Preliminary and HSC NSW Syllabus, which enable my student to not only understand the concept, but be able to apply the concept to HSC style questions. As a tutor, I am supportive, engaging, motivating and easy to communicate with. I approach my lessons by exploring the given topic collaboratively, gauging at what level the student is currently at, and allowing the student to fully understand using my own Band 6 resources. In the case that we share overlapping subjects, I am also available to tutor other Year 11 and HSC Subjects including Biology, English Advanced, English Extension 1, Ancient History and History Extension. As I will be shortly moving to Melbourne for university, my classes will be conducted online. However, I can assure any hesitant parents that this mode will not be limiting in any way given that HSC economics is primarily covered digitally.
