About Zack

I work full time as a performer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York. I perform regularly with at least seven different orchestras - several of which I do not have a formal contract. These institutions continue to hire me because I am always prepared, punctual, and collaborative.

About the lesson

My philosophy is that as a teacher, my most important priority is helping students to develop the skills needed to become excellent practicers, as all musicians must eventually become their own teacher. I focus on critical thinking and problem-solving skills, incorporating music theory and music history to help the student form a complete picture of not just what to do, but why they should do it.
