I'm here to tutor you on accounting.
Here are my objectives towards all:
a. To inculcate the knowledge on how to give details on request of quantities of stock held on store e.g through the use of perpetualinventoey system.
b. To keep proper records of stock.
c. To keep periodical comparison of the physical stock.
d. To observe the stock levels and ensure that the Company does not run out of stock.

Good storekeeping is not just physically keeping items in stock but ensuring that they are identifiable, accessible, safeguard, and available to meet all demands without carrying unncessarily large stock.
Importance of Good storekeeping in an organisation are:
1. Good arrangement of the stores items to ensure the location of items with minimum difficulty. This may be achieved through the logical numbering of bins, racks and stores area.
2. Full identificationof all materials at all times. E.g through theuse of stores codes.
3. Efficient procedures for the receipt and storageof materials.
4. Proper documentation and prompt recording of all movents of store items.
5. Protectionof materials against deterioration (e.g. from damp or evaporation).
6. Economical use of storage space.
