About Owen
With over 12 years of teaching experience, I am an experienced singing tutor who works with students of all ages—from schoolchildren to college students and working professionals. My focus is on helping students develop their vocal abilities, technical skills, and the confidence to perform effectively.
My teaching methodology is interactive, student-centred, and practical. I cover essential vocal techniques such as breath control, pitch accuracy, tonal quality, and vocal projection. I also teach music theory, rhythm, sight-reading, and performance skills including stage presence, expression, and audience engagement. Lessons are designed to combine structured exercises with creative examples for effective and enjoyable learning.
I adapt lessons to meet the student’s level and goals. Beginners are nurtured with patience to develop confidence and strong foundations, while advanced learners receive structured coaching to refine techniques, prepare for performances, and overcome challenges such as stage anxiety or technical difficulties. I emphasise regular practice, feedback, and measurable progress tracking.
My mission is to create a positive, encouraging, and motivating environment where students feel inspired to explore their voice, improve technically, and develop a lifelong passion for singing.

My teaching methodology for Singing is structured, supportive, and focused on continuous improvement. I use real-life examples and case studies from songs, recordings, and daily voice use to explain vocal techniques clearly and practically.
I teach with empathy, creating a positive environment where students feel motivated and confident. My flexible teaching style allows lessons and exercises to be adapted to each student’s learning pace, vocal ability, and personal goals.
Clear communication ensures that students understand instructions and feedback effectively. Using a problem-solving approach, I help students identify and overcome vocal challenges such as pitch accuracy, breath control, and tone quality.
Along with Singing, I also teach supporting subjects such as music theory, rhythm training, ear training, vocal care, and performance skills.
