About Eduard

As a current junior at Stevenson High School, I have 4 years of tutoring experience with students aged 3-12. I tutor chess and as an Armenian, chess is fundamental in my culture, and I was required to learn it. However, it turned out to be very beneficial as it developed my logic and I reached an expert level in chess, rating 2000+ and winning multiple tournaments, including the IHSA Chess State Championship twice with my high school.

About the lesson

I have worked with a variety of ages, and to make the most out of my lessons, I make sure to get to know my students well and understand their goals and what they are trying to master. Furthermore, I make sure to hone students' skills by providing multiple chess resources, such as websites, books, puzzles, and games, therefore, helping students master those skills. Whether students have questions during regular study hours or need assistance with a last-minute assignment, I am always here to help and provide quick responses. Ultimately, my mission is to foster a supportive relationship with students and help them reach their proficiency levels on their chess materials.
