About Alex
I have been tutoring at my school for as long as I've been a student but in 2025 I started tutoring professionally. In my professional experience I've been able to grow my skills and find more tutoring resources. Through a high school accelerated program I was able to complete ECS101 and with that I was granted the privilege of interning in a grade six and seven classroom for three weeks. Through that I met many students at every level of understanding in the subjects and I worked with their teacher on how best to support each of them while building a close bond with the class.

In my lessons one of the big goals when tutoring is keeping students engaged. A student who isn't engaged is a student who isn't learning. I try to keep my lessons fun by bringing in an assortment of materials to make sure the student can learn the content through whatever means they learn best. I strive to ensure the students I am teaching leave the lesson with the ability to not only understand the material but also know it well enough to explain the material to their peers. My lessons are most effective for grades three to seven but I have taught students as young as grade one and as old as grade ten.
