About Catherine
I have been tutoring for at least 5 years, helping children to read and write, encouraging them to learn and pursue new skills. I tutored reading and math to kids from pre-kindergarten to grade level 9 for almost a year at the Kumon tutoring center in Esquimalt and I have worked as an EA with ASCEND online school, teaching reading and writing for elementary education. I am currently studying for my bachelor’s in elementary education at the University of Alberta. I love to read, write, sing, dance, paint and draw. I adore kids and love working with them.

I will take time and patience in explaining in necessary details lessons and exercises, I will support each and every one of my students, I will encourage them to learn and pursue new things and push them forward, I will be mindful of their learning process and curve and will work on assisting them personally as needed, I will create a fun and engaging environment and workspace to help them be more eager to learn new things and I will be there to support, encourage, guide, help and assist my students with their learning journey.
