About Sean

I am a mixed format Artist and Graphic Designer from Glasgow, Scotland. I work mostly with musicians, artists and record labels creating EP artwork, posters, t-shirts as well as bespoke one-off pieces for brands and businesses.

My work is mainly digital abstraction artwork that focuses on the union colour and texture. I usually start with scans of things like canvas, paper, old books, or photographs and I manipulate and distort them in Photoshop, After Effects and Python. My main goal is to make my designs look tangible and real but ultimately rooted in abstraction so that the union of shapes, colour, texture and atmosphere become the focal point, instead of the subject. digital artwork, but relatable and imperfect.

About the lesson

Whether you are a Photoshop beginner or you know your way around the UI and are looking for some artistic techniques to get your creativity and inspiration flowing - I can offer custom lessons tailored to your pace and direction. I would rather that the lessons were led by the students in a sense! If there is a particular area of design that fascinates you then let's explore it together, it could be the way different colours interact with each other, the way typography is both artistic and scientific, or more artwork driven ideas like making abstract landscapes using digital distortion techniques.

Creating abstract designs using shapes, colour, texture and typography is an absolute joy and I'd be thrilled to share with you what I know.
