About Clint

I have 14 years experience as a professional performing artists teacher and lecturer. I have grade 5 classical music theory and grade 8 classical singing both with distinction from the Trinity College of London. I hold a a Bachelor of Technology in Musical Theatre Performance (Cum Laude) from the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, South Africa as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Musical Theatre (Distinction) from the Guildford School of Acting, University of Surrey for which I won
the MA Musical Theatre Award for Best Overall Postgraduate Performance (Across all subjects and modules).

As a multidisciplinary educator, I have held positions as Singing Lecturer at Oakfields College Pretoria – Faculty of Musical Theatre & Dance; Singing and Dance Lecturer at WITS University faculty of Theatre and Performance; Music Performance Lecturer at AFDA School of Creative Economy; Visiting Dance Lecturer in Musical Theatre at University Centre Shrewsbury, University of Chester; Associate Lecturer and Principal Lecturer of Musical Theatre and now the Deputy Course Leader in Musical Theatre and Dance at Performers College Birmingham – BIMM University.

Some of my professional performances include: ‘Jafar’ in Aladdin Jr at the National Children’s Theatre in 2011 & 2012; ‘Hopper 3’ and ‘Kruppe’ Starlight Express at the Joburg Theatre in 2013; ‘Tony’ in West Side Story at The Playhouse Theatre ‘Michael Darling’ in the pantomime Peter Pan at the Joburg Theatre in 2014; ‘Cesar Rodriguez’ (Featured Latino Dancer) in Saturday Night Fever at the South African State Theatre in 2016 and ‘Chino’ in West Side Story at the Artscape Theatre in 2018.

About the lesson

I am a passionate, inter-disciplinary and dedicated lecturer and teacher. I apply a pedagogy focused on the individual needs of each of my students and devise lessons based on what they require on their learning journey.

I am able to help students attain skills in Piano, Music Theory, Singing Musical Theatre Performance and Audition Preparation Coaching. Technical development and artistic enrichment underpin all lessons.
