Perfect! I’m in my late 20s, so I was worried about finding a teacher I could work with, especially with so many years of accumulated bad singing habits. Taking lessons with Melissa has been great though! She’s patient and tries different ways of explaining in do-able actions how to improve the parts that I struggle with.

Every lesson, we go through warmups (which are constantly being updated as I improve to help me practice more things), and then we work on a song I’ve been practicing, which can include working on pitch accuracy, jaw tension, breathing and support, emoting, and learning to sing high notes.

My fiance (who used to be part of an acapella team) has told me that he’s noticed steady improvement in my singing throughout 2.5 months of working with Melissa. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with her, and every lesson is encouraging and comfortable!
