About Joanne
I have successfully taught in a leading independent boarding school in Hertfordshire. I am an associate examiner for a popular UK exam board and I have been the Head of an outstanding Business Studies department which was part of a (Specialist Business School).
I have trained Teach First teachers as well as been a PGCE subject co-tutor at the Institute of Education (University of London) training, leading and supervising a number of Beginning Teachers and overseeing the NQT years of several successful members of my department, many of whom have gone on to lead their own successful departments/ International schools.
More recently I have been teaching A'level business spec, tutoring A'level Economics and business as well as GCSE Business and Economics students for the AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, Foundation (Uni level 3) and OCR examinations, as well as IB Economics and Business using my extensive skill set in imparting knowledge given my knowledge of cognitive development and the subject content of both Business and Economics from GCSE to A' level.
I have also run winning Young Enterprise and Tycoon for Business programmes and liaised with city businesses and personal contacts to keep up to date with developments in the field. My students have all exceeded their predicted grades and gone on to further study or employment of their choice. I have added value to their learning experience by ensuring they have related their subject knowledge directly to the curriculum content.
My marking and moderation has in the past been commended by Edexcel for accuracy while I was curriculum leader, so my experience ensures that I am able to direct students accurately for grade improvement. As Head of Department I have successfully built and maintained business links with city firms, including Cadbury Schweppes and Linklaters.
I have also met students' needs through planning and delivery of personal finance courses and been an EPQ supervisor.

I was tutored by Joanne in 2013/2014 for my final year of Alevels. I wanted to boost up my grade and improve my understanding in economics.
