In my tutoring sessions, I employ a student-centered approach that emphasizes active learning and engagement. I tailor my techniques to meet the individual needs of each student, utilizing a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and collaborative learning. I often incorporate real-world applications to make concepts more relatable and easier to grasp. Additionally, I use formative assessments throughout the lessons to gauge understanding and adjust my teaching methods accordingly.
Typically, my lessons last about 60 minutes. This duration allows for an in-depth exploration of topics while maintaining students’ focus and energy levels. Each session is structured with time allocated for review, new material introduction, practice exercises, and a brief summary or reflection at the end.
Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor
I hold a degree in Engineering from Veiga de Almeida - Brasil, along with 5 years of tutoring experience across various educational settings. My background includes working with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels, SEN, which has equipped me with the tools necessary to adapt my teaching strategies effectively.
Who Are My Lessons For (Level, Age, etc.)
My lessons are designed for students ranging from elementary through high school levels. I work with learners who may need extra support in foundational skills or those seeking advanced knowledge in specific subjects. My goal is to foster confidence and competence in all my students, regardless of their starting point.
