About the lesson

Hello! I have been a secondary school English teacher, second in English and whole school literacy coordinator for 6 years. I have a 2:1 BA hons degree in English Literature and Journalism. I coordinate all KS3 curriculum for English, advise all other subject areas on how to incorporate literacy strategies into their teaching and I have taught all abilities from age 11-18. I am familiar with AQA, WJEC and igcse.

My teaching style is to be patient, ensure full understanding and facilitate the learning so my students learn skills as well as aquire knowledge. I understand that many students struggle to learn in classroom environments and don't have the confidence to ask for help. I believe one-to-one tuition improves self-assurance as well as ability. I hope to make my lessons as interesting as possible and restore my students' enjoyment and faith in the subject!
